About Yasmin

I am a mom, a wife, a daughter, a teacher, a friend, and now, a photographer! :)

I was always the girl at every party, school event, and family function with my point and shoot annoying people and snapping photos like crazy. I would tell everyone that although they might not want their photo taken at that exact moment, they would thank me for the memories later. They always did! Shortly after my beautiful baby boy was born in 2010, my husband encouraged me to pursue my love of photographs and buy my first DSLR camera to capture all of the exciting moments of our new child's life. I pretty much started shooting pictures of our little guy every single day and haven't stopped since. I took one photography class at the local community college, watch photography tutorial videos at all hours of the night, and practice as much as humanly possible. Now those same friends I was annoying with that old point and shoot are hiring me to take photographs of their engagements, weddings, pregnant bellies, new babies, kiddos, families, businesses, events, and other special moments. I truly love every single second of the entire photography experience, it has inspired me more than anything else in my life! This process has proven to me that if you have a dream to learn a new skill or a desire to find a creative outlet for yourself, you can pursue it, and you can be successful at it. I realized when I started building this website just how much happiness photography has brought to my life and to the lives of others. My heart bursts with delight when I walk into a friend's house and I see photos that I have taken for them hanging as canvases, framed on the walls, or just stuck to the fridge with magnets. Every moment here on this earth is a beautiful gift, every single second here helps shape us into the people we are destined to become... allow me to capture who you truly are, surrounded by the people you love the most. Let's work together to create a piece of art that your family will cherish for years to come. I promise you, I will love and care about your photographs just as much as you do (if not more)! ;)
